Prophet Muhammad (pbuh&hf)
says:
"It is probable that I
will be called soon, and I will respond. So I leave behind me two
weighty (very worthy and important) things: the Book of
Allah (the Qur'an), which is a string
stretched from the heaven to the earth; and my progeny,
my ahl
al-bayt. Verily Allah,
the Merciful, the Aware, has informed me that these two will never
be separated from each other until they meet me at the Fountain of
Abundance (the Hawdh of Kawthar, a spring in
heaven). Therefore, be careful how you treat these two in my
absence."
This
hadith has been narrated by more than twenty companions of the Holy
Prophet (pbuh&hf) and has also been narrated by over 185
narrators mentioned in Sahih Muslim, 2:238; Musnad Ahmad ibn
Hanbal, 5:181-182; Sahih Tirmidhi, 2:220, and others. (M.Ticani)
The Prophet of Islam(pbuh&hf),
said:
"Whosoever dies without recognizing the Imam of his time dies the death
of the ignorance (Jahiliyyah)."
Ahmad b. Hanbal, al-Musnad, p. 96.
Every People With Their Imam
[Quran:

(Remember) the day when We will call
every people with their
Imam;
then whoever is given his book in his right hand, these shall read their
book; and they shall not be dealt with a whit unjustly.

When the
verse
"Those who believe and do
righteous deeds are the best of the creation (Quran 98:7)" was revealed,
the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF) said to Ali: "They are you and your Shia."
He continued: "O Ali! (On the day of Judgment) you and your Shia will come
toward Allah well-pleased and well-pleasing, and your enemies will come
angry with their head forced up. Ali said: "Who are my enemies?" The
Prophet (PBUH&HF) replied: "He who disassociates himself from you and
curses you. And glad tiding to those who reach first under the shadow of
al-'Arsh on the day of resurrection." Ali asked: "Who are they, O the
Messenger of Allah?" He replied: "Your Shia, O Ali, and those who love
you."

Sahih
Bukhari,
Hadith 9329
I heard the Prophet
saying, "There
will be twelve imams."
He then said a sentence which I did not hear. My father said, "All of them
(those rulers) will be from Quraish."
Sahih Muslim,
Hadith 4483
The Islamic religion will continue
until the Hour has been established, or you have been ruled by
twelve Caliphs, all of them being from the
Quraysh.
SALMAN’S
PEOPLE
Bukhari,
Hadith:6420
While we were sitting
with the Prophet Surat Al-Jumu'a was revealed to him, and when the Verse,
"And He (Allah) has sent him (Muhammad) also to other (Muslims)..."(62.3)
was recited by the Prophet, I said, "Who are they, O Allah's Apostle?" The
Prophet did not reply till I repeated my question thrice. At that time,
Salman Al-Farisi was with us. So Allah's Apostle put his hand on Salman,
saying, "If Faith were at (the
place of) Ath-Thuraiya (pleiades, the highest star), even then (some men
or man from these people (i.e. Salman's folk) would attain it."
Tirmidhi,
Hadith:6244
Allah's Messenger
(peace be upon him) recited this verse, "If you turn back He will
substitute other people for you and they will not be like you. The people
asked, "Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), who are these people whom
Allah has mentioned will be substituted for us if we turn back and will
not be like us?" He struck Salman al-Farisi on the thigh and said,
"This man and his people. If the
religion were in the Pleiades men from among the Persians would attain
it."
Bukhari Hadith:5283
I am from Ram-Hurmuz
(i.e. a Persian town).
Tirmidhi Hadith:6249
Allah's Messenger
(peace be upon him) said, "Allah, Who is Blessed and Exalted has commanded
me to love four people, and He has informed me that He loves them." He was
asked to name them and said,
"Ali is one of them (saying that three times), also AbuDharr, al-Miqdad
and Salman.
He has commanded me to love them, and He has informed me that He loves
them."
Tirmidhi Hadith :6225
Allah's Messenger
(peace be upon him) said, "Paradise
is desirous of three people: Ali, Ammar and Salman."
Who
are Ahl al-Bayt?
Sahih
Muslim, Book 031, Number 5955:
'A'isha reported
that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) went out one
norning wearing a
striped cloak of the black camel's hair that there came
Hasan b. 'Ali. He
wrapped hitn under it, then came Husain and he wrapped him
under it along with
the other one (Hasan). Then came Fatima and he took her
under it, then came
'Ali and he also took him under it and then said:
Allah
only desires to take away any uncleanliness from you, O
people of the household, and purify you
(thorough purifying) (quran 33:33)
Have you ever thought?
The Imam of our time is Imam Mahdi (the twelfth Imam) and
he is appointed by God.
- Where is he now
and what should we do in his absence?
He is alive and in occultation and
will reappear whenever Allah wants. We should obey those scholars who
obey 12 Imams, teach their knowledge and follow their
instructions.
- Is is ok if we
don't obey the IMAM of our time and live according to some other
leaders?
No,It is not ok. If we don't accept IMAM
Mahdi (pbuh) as Imam of our time, our submission to God wont be
accepted. Our deeds wont be acceped by God.Because those who don't
accept the Imams are like those who don't accept God or the
Prophet.
Some Hadiths to Think About
"Oh..Ali!! you and your companions will go to Paradise on
the day of Judgement." "The parable of my ahl al-bayt is similar to that of Noah's
ark. Whoever embarks it will certainly be rescued, but the one who
opposes boarding it will certainly be drowned."
"As the stars protect mankind
from losing its way in travel, so are my ahl al-bayt; they are the
safeguard against discord in matters of religion."
"Acknowledgement of the
Al-i-Muhammad means salvation from the Hellfire; the love of the
Al-i-Muhammad is a passport for crossing the bridge of
sirat; and obedience to the Al-i-Muhammad is protection from
divine wrath
